About this document:
MQSeries provides a communications infrastructure environment that is available for over 30 platforms. You can use MQSeries on the AS/400 system to link to Windows NT Server applications. This is especially useful if you are running Windows NT Server Internet Information Server (IIS) as your Web front-end, with the AS/400 as the data repository.

This document describes some of the features of MQSeries, and shows an example of an ILE-RPG program that uses MQSeries APIs on the AS/400 system, and the MQSeries ActiveX object on Windows NT Server in Visual Basic. Using the sample, you can send requests from the Windows NT Server program to the AS/400 and return results from the AS/400 database.
